Invitation to Tender for Excavation and Structural Construction Works
Bright 7 Housing Cooperative Society invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the construction of “Excavation and Structure Construction Works.” Participation in this tender is subject to the following procedures and conditions deemed accepted upon participation.

1. Procedures
1.1. Eligibility.
Grade 1, 2, and 3 Contractors are invited to submit proposals. The Organization reserves the right to award the contract to the contractor that it deems has submitted the most suitable proposal, without any commitment to the invited firms.
1.2.Ownership of Proposals.
All documents, calculations, and materials submitted as part of your proposal will become the property of the Organization and will not be returned.
1.3. Partial or No Award.
The Organization reserves the right to make a partial award or none at all if deemed necessary.
1.4 Bid Preparation Costs.
All costs associated with preparing and submitting bids are the responsibility of the bidder and will not be reimbursed by the Organization.
1.5 Publication of Results.
The Organization may publish details of the awarded contracts, including the contractor’s name, country, total contract value, and a description of the work or services. Unsuccessful bidders will be notified.
1.6 Mandatory Requirements
The following documents and information must be submitted to qualify for participation in the tender:

- Proof of legal status (renewed for the current year), Tax Identification Number (TIN), and trade license.
- Evidence of completed works of comparable value.
- Qualifications of key personnel.
- List of tools, materials, and equipment dedicated to the project.
- Proof of VAT or income tax payments.
Note: Failure to provide these documents will result in disqualification.
1.7 Bid Document Access
Interested bidders can obtain the bid document in English at the organization’s head office (ቀበና ኳስ ሜዳ አዲስ ቪው ሆቴል አጠገብ ጄዱ ህንፃ 5ተኛ ፎቅ የቢሮ ቁጥር 502) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 500.00. Payment should be made to Account No. 1000553748268 at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia during office hours (Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM-12:30 PM and 1:00 PM-4:30 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM).
1.8 Bid Security
Bids must include a bid bond of ETB 500,000.00, in the form of a cashier’s payment order (CPO) or an unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee from a reputable local bank, addressed to Bright 7 Housing Cooperative Society. This must be enclosed in a separate envelope. Failure to provide acceptable bid security will result in disqualification.
1.9 Bid Submission
Bids should be deposited in the bid box at the above address from January 27 to January 31, 2025. during office hours. The submission deadline is January 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
1.10 Bid Opening
Bids will be opened at the company’s head office at the above address on January 31, 2025, at 10:30 AM. in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who wish to attend.

1.12 Rejection of Non-compliance
Failure to comply with any of the above conditions will result in automatic rejection of the bid.
